What business challenges can consulting address?
Starting a private practice
Clarify the kind of practice you want to build, identify priorities, and develop a practical plan for launching. Topics may include positioning, service offerings, startup expenses, scheduling, client policies, and marketing.
Attracting the right clients
Make it easier for prospective clients to understand your services and take the next step. Topics may include website messaging, local search visibility, referral relationships, email marketing, and community outreach.
Pricing and business sustainability
Examine how your rates, expenses, available appointments, and business model work together. The aim is to make informed decisions about growth and owner income.
Client experience and retention
Review the path from an initial inquiry through booking, intake, follow-up, and rebooking. Clear communication and consistent processes help clients understand what to expect.
Hiring and managing a team
Work through the transition from independent practitioner to business owner with employees. Topics may include role expectations, onboarding, training, delegation, communication, and company culture.
Systems and operations
Identify recurring problems and create repeatable ways to handle them. Areas may include scheduling, client communication, written procedures, task ownership, and team accountability.
Growth and owner workload
Evaluate what needs to change before adding providers, expanding capacity, or opening another location. Growth planning also considers the owner’s time, energy, and responsibilities.
How does consulting work?
New clients begin with a free 15-minute introductory phone consultation to discuss their business and determine whether working together is a good fit.
After the introductory call, clients can schedule one-hour Power Hour Strategy Meetings by phone. Sessions take place as needed. Some clients meet weekly, while others meet monthly or around a particular project.
During a session, Rachel helps identify the main issues, establish goals, and choose practical next steps. Sessions include actionable homework, support, and accountability, plus one email follow-up between meetings.

Is consulting available outside New York City?
Sessions take place by phone, allowing clients to work with Rachel without visiting a New York City office.
Wellness Business Consulting serves NYC and beyond. Prospective clients can use the introductory consultation to discuss their business, location, and needs.
What is Rachel’s approach to business coaching?
Rachel’s approach is practical, personalized, and grounded in the realities of running a service business.
The work begins by identifying the specific obstacle or decision that deserves attention. An owner with inconsistent bookings needs a different plan from an owner whose schedule is full but whose income or workload feels unsustainable.
Consulting helps turn broad concerns into clear priorities and manageable actions. Accountability provides a structure for following through, reviewing progress, and adjusting the plan.
Where can I read client experiences?
The client stories page includes feedback from practitioners, business owners, and wellness industry companies.
Examples include Glow East Bay, Sparrow Salon, RunStreet, Latitude Massage, and Aescape. Their accounts describe support with areas such as practice growth, marketing, staffing, positioning, and business decisions.
These are individual client experiences rather than promises of a particular result.
